The addictive Guitar Hero and Rock Band style play-along games have made it to open source! You can import Guitar Hero songs, and play along to the beat using a keyboard, joystick, game controller, or even a USB guitar controller. (We had to install a program that would map the keys, but it worked flawlessly!)
Many Songs Available
There are a multitude of songs available for you to play along with, and you can easily add more: the open format and song editor allows you to create your own song patterns. Plus, the FoF community has added plenty of songs for you to download and try out, so go ahead and give it a shot!
Conclusion
This is a great game and a quality clone of the popular rock band games. The graphics are excellent! We'd like to see native support for a variety of game controllers, such as the USB guitar controllers, so no additional software or configuration is required.
