Cornice Image Viewer

Simple Image Viewing

Cornice provides a lightweight, easy way to browse and view your photo collections. The interface is clean, simple, and straightforward. The underlying code handles almost any image format you throw at it, and it's quick.

Easy to Use

It's hard to get lost in the interface, considering how simple it is. Any user could easily figure out this application. Like most of our favorites, it isn't cluttered with additional "features" that bloat the software into a complex swiss army knife. It's simply an image viewer, and it works.

Things We'd Change

This project is no longer adding new features, (only bug fixes are being merged into the code). On one hand, there's no need to add any features—but on the other hand, PortableApps has created a portable version of Cornice that has some user interface enhancements (basically cooler icons) and we really like what they've done with it. We'd recommend their version, but it isn't a friendly installation, and leaves no shortcuts since it is primarily for use with USB devices. Minor additions like this merged into the standard installable project could make Cornice that much more appealing.
